Post-Surgery Shirts, in plain words

The first Deyeek piece was a shirt like these, and it is still the one the Deyeek studio argues about most. A snap seam runs from the hem up the side and along the top of the sleeve to the collar. Undone, the shirt lies flat and goes on around the body. Done up, it looks like an ordinary tee. The arm that is in a sling, or that must not lift for a month, never goes through a sleeve at all.

What the shirt does not do is dress you. The first time after surgery, a second pair of hands still helps, and the snaps are easier to close from the outside than from inside a sling. The page for each shirt says where the seam runs, which sleeve length it has and which sizes exist in that colour.

How to read this bench

These run true to a relaxed tee. If a bandage or a sling goes under it, take the size above your usual one so the snaps close without pulling.
